Have you ever checked the long list of ingredients on the label on the back of your eye makeup remover? Many of them probably are not as safe you would hope and can be skin irritants if used over a long period of time.
Try this wonderfully mild and easy to make recipe. I actually use it as a general makeup remover, not just for the eyes, and it works really well. Just ensure a good facial cleanse as you would after any makeup remover.
You will need:
- 1 cup freshly infused chamomile tea, cooled
- ¼ cup wheat germ oil
- ¼ cup witch hazel (you can get this in Boots, most chemists or online. If you have sensitive skin, get one without alcohol)
All you need to do is add all of the ingredients to a glass jar and shake vigorously to combine. Ensure to shake before each individual use as separation can occur. Pour a few drops onto a clean cotton pad and wipe the makeup off your face using gentle strokes.
It will last up to 3 months if stored somewhere cool and on hot days it is best stored in the fridge.
